Our Federal government is beyond our control!

Tax Day is the PERFECT time to gather together and say ENOUGH ALREADY.

Federal government has the ability to wield so much power because it has the power of the purse through its ability to tax us.

Our system is upside down from the one which our Founding Fathers intended...we're supposed to be a Federalist Republic not a Nationalist Democracy.

We're gathering at the State Capitol because it is the seat of the government that is supposed to be more powerful than the Feds.
Come to the Capitol on Thursday evening, April 15 - 6:30pm with whatever sign you think best expresses your sentiments on the many issues about which we should be concerned as Nebraskans and Americans.

Come join your fellow Nebraskans who love the Constitution & support State Sovereignty. It's all grassroots - no political parties or astroturfers - so it'll be REAL people, not politicians speaking.
We'll have some of what we we always have at one of our rallies - like Gary, of course, but we're working on that are different from what we've done in the past.

I have loaded an 8 1/2" x 11" PDF version of the flyer online: to download and print. As soon as I can work it in, I will load up 2 per page and business card sized formats and will distribute the link via a future message.

I understand there may be some confusion regarding other information that has been broadcast about Tea Party events on or about April 15. None of the information to date has been sent out by Grassroots in Nebraska or anyone with whom we are working on an event.

Unfortunately, there has been some jockeying between and among various other groups, either to preempt the Tax Day Tea Party entirely or to turn it into something that would resemble the "Astroturf" critics of the Tea Party movement are so quick to spot and use to defame true grassroots efforts like ours.

We're soldiering on with our plans, though, but this means that your help is more vital than ever if we're going to get the turn out we'd all like to see.
