Time: July 4, 2009 from 12pm to 2pm
Location: The State Capitol
Organized By: Shelli

Event Description:
Celebrating and Re-Declaring Our Independence!

Let's all join together at the State Capitol to re-Declare our Independence from an ever expanding Federal government and assert the Tenth Amendment sovereignty of the state of Nebraska.

The general themes will be Independence, the Tenth Amendment, freedom, and the Constitution, but we will talk about a few of the specific issues we're facing, including socialized medicine and "global warming".

The speakers already lined up and currently being contacted will not be politicians or high profile, but articulate Nebraskans talking about how all of the nonsense of government is affecting them.

**RSVP's would be very much appreciated!**

There is a lot of work to be done in putting this event together, so please let Shelli or Wendy know if you would like to help.

The idea for a post Tea Party picnic or cookout at a City park is currently being discussed to allow some relaxed, social time for anyone who wants to participate. If you have some ideas on the best ways of doing this and / or would like to help organize it, also let us know about that. If the decision is made to move forward with this idea, a separate event will be started for that purpose.
